I’m Ray Simar, a professor in the practice at Rice, teaching courses in digital signal processing and computer architecture. Before I came to Rice, I spent 25 years as an engineer at Texas Instruments, working on semiconductors and leading teams developing computer architectures for digital signal processing.
I earned my M.S. at Rice in ECE in 1983, and I received a BS in Bioengineering from Texas A&M in 1981.
